AP Innovation Society (APIS), Government of AP, iBhubs Global, and Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering, Vizianagaram, have hosted a 3-day comprehensive hands-on training to students in the latest booming technology, the Internet of Things (IoT). This workshop is conducted as part of the capacity building programs on various emerging technologies. Students not only from MVGR, but also from other colleges of the state have participated in this workshop. A total of 500 applications were received from students and out of them 120 students were selected for this workshop.

Prof. Valli Kumari, CEO of APIS and Vice-Chairperson of APSCHE, has delivered an invited talk as part of this workshop. Speaking in this occasion Prof. Valli Kumari said that, the students of AP must make the maximum use of this kind of workshops and come up with innovative prototypes and projects that could solve the day-to-day problems faced by the society at large. She emphasized the importance of IoT technology, and conveyed the vision of our Hon. CM Sri N. ChandraBabu Naidu.

The closing session of the 3-day workshop was chaired by the Principal Dr. K. V. L. Raju, he said that the workshop was a grand success and all the students have participated enthusiastically and learned how to used IoT technology for real time problem solving. He emphasized the importance of Inter of Things in solving the socio economic challenges that the country is currently facing. He said, that Internet is no more limited to web portals and social media. All the things around us, from house hold appliances to office automation, industry to space research, all can be connected with IoT technology for the betterment of human life. Prof. P. Sitarama Raju, Dean Internal Quality Assurance, Dr.KalyanChakravarthy, HOD CSE were present in the closing ceremony. Dr.Ravi Kiran Varma.
