The Department of Chemistry has been effectively functional. It stands focused to its Ideals in imparting knowledge and preparing the students towards achieving academic excellence through the acquisition of core competence for engineering professionals. The Department possesses highly qualified and experienced staff with 3 Doctorates.The Department is committed to excellence in the arena of chemistry by establishing research programs for meeting scientific and technological challenges faced by the ever changing world of the 21st century. The aim is to produce highly sought after and knowledgeable graduates for pursuing careers with academia, industry and government.

The Department is actively working on projects like Biogas and UV reflecting paints . It is facilitated with water testing laboratory, in which various parameters related to water an its quality can be analyzed as per ASTM. This lab is established aiming to provide service to the society.

About the Department
“The Department of Mathematics strongly believes in the fact that a sound and application oriented knowledge in Mathematics is crucial and in fact, a pre-requisite to study any branch of Engineering.” The Department was established in the year 1997, the year of inception of the college, to provide strong Mathematical back ground to Engineering Graduates. It was started with a very modest beginning having only a handful of courses. As the department grew it has expanded to the size of 12 members teaching more than 13 different courses at UG and PG levels. All 12 faculty members are holding Ph.D. degrees.
Also the faculty are actively involved in research and published / presented quality research papers to the tune of 214 research articles in reputed national and international journals / conferences. Nearly a half a dozen books were authored by the faculty. Faculty are guiding research scholars. Most of the faculty members are editorial members and / or reviewers of reputed national and international journals in the area of Mathematics. The department has a young scientist awardee, and an associate fellowship member.
Also the Department organized two national level workshops related to application oriented mathematics, both of which were sponsored by Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The Department of Mathematics has been recognized as Research Center” by the affiliating University: J N Technological University-Kakinada.

 The Department of Physics has been formed in the month of January 2013. The Department is currently headed by Dr. G. Srinivasa Reddy and is actively supported by seven other faculty members. Among the faculty group, four members are doctorates and one faculty member has submitted thesis for the award of Ph.D degree and the other members are actively involved in research. Due to its potential applications in fields of science and technology, Materials Science research is actively pursued in the department with a special focus on Magnetic materials (Bulk & Nano ferrites). As a part of the research contribution to the institute the faculty members have published about fifteen publications in international peer reviewed SCI indexed journals with good impact factors. The faculty handle Engineering Physics (EP) course for MECH, CIVIL and CHEM departments and Applied Physics (AP) Course for EEE, ECE, CSE and IT departments. The Engineering Physics course covers the fundamental concepts of Optics & Coherent optics, Material Properties, Thermodynamics and Mechanics which are vital for the Engineering students of the ICE branches. On the other hand in the Applied Physics course, rudiments related to Optics & Coherent optics, Material Properties and Electromagnetic wave theory are taught to the students. Both the courses were designed based on the inputs given by the respective departments which would cater the requirements of the engineering students and pave paths for higher learning. Both the courses have been approved by the BOS Committee in the month of June 2015. The EP & AP lab experiments were designed in connection with the theory taught in the classroom and also based on the future academic requirements of the engineering freshman.
