MVGR SWECHA LEARNING CENTRE’s (SLC) 3 DAY FREEDOM FEST STARTED TODAY

MVGR celebrating 10-years of SWECHA LEARNING CENTRE by conducting 3-day FREEDOM FEST with a motto of celebrating the art of learning, exploring and sharing the software knowledge. Mr. Sai Kiran, Software Developer, Cap Gemini, invited as chief guest for the inaugural function of 3-day Freedom Fest. The 3-day fest comprises workshops on Linux administration, Android development, Botpress, Arduino for IoT, Websites with WordPress, PHP for WordPress.

Sai Kiran, chief guest of the function addressed the students with the importance of syllabus of freedom fest and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants.

Dr. Y.M.C. Sekhar, Vice Principal, MVGR told that this is not only a platform just read something and go but a place where youngsters become productive by working with teams and exploring themselves.

Mr. M. Mohan Kumar, Dean-Students addressed the student participants and emphasized the importance of learning centers in engineering colleges like SWECHA. And through these kind of software fests, students can gain many things by using open source softwares upon discussions with fellow students.

Mr. M. Vamsi Krishna, Convenor, MVGR SLC, told that SWECHA AP is a place where you find yourselves by experiencing the freedom of technology by experimenting it. He highlighted some of the combined initiatives by SWECHA AP and MVGR SWECHA LEARNING CENTER like BALA SWECHA, FREEDOM BOX, MVGR MOODLE.

Mr G. Phanindra, Student event coordinator, discussed the contemporary issues regarding softwares and how they learnt using open sources. 

For the inaugural event, Dr. Y.M.C. Sekhar (Vice-principal), Mr. S. Mohan Kumar (Dean-Students), Dr. G. Suvarna Kumar (Associate-Professor, CSE), Mr. M. Vamsi Krishna (Convener, MVGR SLC), and G. Phanindra (Event Coordinator), other faculty members and student participants from nearby colleges were present.
