The Division of Mathematics builds a strong foundation in logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving, enabling students to apply mathematical concepts effectively in engineering, research, and real-world applications.

• Some faculty members are guiding research scholars. More than 220 research articles were published by the faculty in Peer Reviewed International Journals of Repute.
• A couple of faculty members authored and co-authored research monographs and  text books for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Some faculty members serve as reviewers for reputed journals such as the American Mathematical Society, Zentralblatt MATH, International Journal of Applied and Computational Mathematics (Springer), Mathematical Sciences (Springer), Journal of Applied Mathematics, American Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computing (Springer), Journal of Mathematical Modeling, TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics, International Journal of Nonlinear Analysis and Applications, along with several other indexed journals.
• Some faculty have delivered invited talks at the APAS Science Congress and at various national and international conferences.
• The Division also organized two national-level workshops on application-oriented mathematics, both sponsored by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
• One faculty member created ICT-based learning resources and runs a YouTube channel with over 2468 subscribers.
• Members are actively participating in various online workshops/FDP conducted by NPTEL, AICTE-ATAL, UGC, etc. for consistent academic and development.

2. All the 5 faculty members of Physics are Doctorate degree (Ph.D) holders.
3. Two members qualified SET (State-level Eligibility Test).
4. More than 45 research papers were published by the faculty in Peer Reviewed International Journals of Repute.
5. A majority of the Journals have an Impact Factor more than 2.0 as per the Thomson Reuters Web of Science; and a few of them are Centenary journals.

The Division is committed to excellence in the arena of chemistry and carry out research for meeting scientific and technological challenges faced by the ever-changing world of the 21st century.

• The chemistry division possess highly qualified and experienced faculty with 5 doctorates, of which one faculty is qualified in GATE and two of them are qualified in SET exam.
• It stands focused in imparting knowledge and preparing the students towards achieving excellence through acquisition of core competence for engineering professionals.
• The division aims to produce highly sought after and knowledgeable graduates for pursuing careers with academia, industry and government.

Infrastructure

1. Two laboratories, Wet lab (Classical Lab) and Instrument lab to carry out the regular B. Tech Course work.
2. The division has well maintained inventory of glassware, chemicals and basic equipment that is required for B. Tech 1^st year engineering chemistry lab course.
3. In addition, it also has a small research lab housing the instruments like UV - Visible Spectrophotometer, Visible Spectrophotometer, Flame photometer, Spin Coater, Rotary shaker, Constant Temperature water bath, Ion selectometer and sensitive balances. This helps faculty to carry out the basic research work.
4. The division also supports the department of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering in their final year projects with the necessary facilities.

 Research

Division of chemistry, MVGR College of Engineering, is pioneering both in academic and research activities. It is having a mix of faculty having rich expertise.

1. Since 2010, more than 60 research papers were published in various international and national peer reviewed journals.
2. The department has successfully completed three research projects funded by DST and UGC (1 major and 2 minor) to the tune of 33.94 lakh rupees.
