Offline Faculty Development Program on AI and Generative AI in Collaboration with Edunet Foundation

Departments of ECE and School of Computing in association with the Institution's Innovation Council have organized a Five Day Offline Faculty Development Program titled "AI and Generative AI" during 3rd to 7th February 2026. The training program is being organized in collaboration with the Edunet Foundation targeting the application of AI and IBM Cloud. The FDP empowered faculty members from all departments to confidently integrate AI into teaching, learning, research, and academic administration. 
 
This Faculty Development Program covered structured and practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI, along with hands-on exposure to key Microsoft tools and platforms, including IBM Skillbuild, IBM Cloud, IBM Watson Machine Learning models, RAG and Agentic AI models, Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, and Microsoft Azure AI Services. The design thinking with case studies session has got a special attention during those days of the program.
 
During the inauguration, Principal Dr. YMC Sekhar and Provost Dr.R.Ramesh addressed the gathering and encouraged faculty to focus on trends of AI and  gain extensive experiential learning and a strong foundation in emerging technologies. The FDP Coordinator, Dr.P.Surya Prasad thanked the resource persons Mr. Syed Shabaz Ahmed Ali and Mr. Narendra Eluri for coming forward to share their expertise and train the faculty on AI tools and Cloud platforms. During the valedictory, the participants shared their achievements of  learning through these hands-on sessions, and expressed their enthusiasm to share these knowledge with the student community. Dr.B.Srinivas proposed a vote of thanks stating the impact of these sessions on faculty, while Mrs.K.Sobha Rani coordinated the sessions with necessary technical support and participant interaction. The HoDs of the coordinating departments thanked the resource persons and the industry support for providing such opportunities.
 

Goodies from IBM as appreciation gave a happy and inspiring closure for the event. Using the enterprise LMS offered by IBM SkillBuild and Microsoft Elevate, supported faculty not just to teach concepts, but also to align our students with global industry standards. All the energetic faculty members stepped out of their comfort zones to embrace the Agentic AI era.
