MVGR CIVIL FACULTY DR.P. SUDHEER CONFERRED BEST PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER AWARD BY ENGINEERS COUNCIL OF INDIA
Dr. P. Sudheer Honored with Best Professional Engineer Award by ECI
Dr. P. Sudheer, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous), has been conferred the Best Professional Engineer Award by the Engineers Council of India (ECI), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to heritage structure conservation.
He was honored particularly for his significant role in the restoration and preservation of the historic Moti Mahal, Vizianagaram, showcasing excellence in combining engineering expertise with cultural heritage conservation.
The award was presented during the 22nd National Conference on “Role of Engineers in Transforming India using AI and Cutting-Edge Technologies”, held as part of ECI’s 24th Foundation Day celebrations in New Delhi on 28 April 2026. The conference witnessed participation from eminent engineers, policymakers, and industry experts from across the country.
Dr. Sudheer’s work exemplifies the effective integration of modern engineering practices with heritage conservation, emphasizing structural integrity, sustainability, and preservation of cultural legacy. His contributions set a benchmark for engineering-driven conservation practices in India.
