Dr. B. M. B. Krushna Publishes Engineering Textbook
Dr. B. M. B. Krushna, Associate Professor of Mathematics and Head of the Department of Science & Humanities, MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous), has achieved a significant academic milestone with the publication of his undergraduate engineering textbook “Probability and Statistics.” The book has been published in the Amazon Kindle Edition, while the Hardcover Edition has also been released, making it widely accessible to students, faculty members, and professionals.
Designed in accordance with the latest engineering curriculum, the textbook provides a comprehensive and application-oriented treatment of Probability and Statistics for undergraduate students of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and allied engineering disciplines. The book emphasizes conceptual clarity, practical applications, worked examples, objective questions, and problem-solving exercises, making it a valuable resource for academic learning, competitive examinations, higher studies, research, and professional practice.
Dr. Krushna has more than 20 years of teaching experience and has published over 50 research papers in internationally reputed journals indexed in Scopus and the Web of Science. His research interests include fractional boundary value problems, differential equations, nonlinear analysis, fixed-point theory, and applied mathematics. He is a recipient of the Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences – Young Scientist Award (2016) and the Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Nation Star Award (2025). He also serves as an Editorial Board Member of the American Journal of Applied Mathematics and as a reviewer for the American Mathematical Society (AMS), zbMATH Open, Springer, and other internationally indexed peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. B. V. N. Murthy Recognized as NPTEL Discipline Star
Adding another distinction to the academic achievements of the Mathematics discipline, Dr. B. V. N. Murthy has been recognized as an NPTEL Discipline Star in Mathematics for his dedication to continuous learning and successful participation in NPTEL courses.
Dr. B. V. N. Murthy attended the prestigious NPTEL Star Interaction Event held at IIT Tirupati on 8 August 2026. The recognition acknowledges his consistent engagement with NPTEL courses and commitment to upskilling and lifelong learning. The event, organized by NPTEL, SWAYAM, IIT Madras, and IIT Tirupati, brought together learners recognized for their outstanding participation and dedication to continuous education.
