MVGR College Emerges District Champions in Eenadu Sports League Cricket

The Eenadu Sports League (Cricket) was inaugurated with great enthusiasm in Vizianagaram district, witnessing the participation of 21 competitive teams from various institutions. Showcasing outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination, MVGR College of Engineering (Autonomous) emerged as the District Champions of the highly competitive tournament.
In a thrilling final encounter, MVGR College defeated Avanthi Research and Technology Academy, Bhogapuram, to clinch the coveted championship trophy and secure a berth in the regional-level competition. The MVGR team dominated the match with disciplined batting and bowling, earning widespread appreciation for their consistent performance throughout the tournament.
The grand finale was graced by distinguished Guests of Honor, including Raavula Ravindra, DGM, Dhanik Bharat Education Institutions, and S. K. Vali, Eenadu Unit In-Charge, who witnessed the electrifying contest and lauded the MVGR team for their sportsmanship and excellence on the field.
The victorious team was led by Captain K. David and Vice-Captain Y. Varshik, whose leadership and coordination played a key role in the team’s success. The squad demonstrated remarkable unity and resilience, with contributions from players across departments and academic years.
