MVGR NCC Cadets Shine at International Fleet Review & MILAN-26 Celebrations

In a proud and inspiring achievement, cadets from MVGR College of Engineering actively participated in the prestigious International Fleet Review and MILAN 2026 celebrations held from February 17 to 19, 2026, at Visakhapatnam. Their participation marked a significant milestone, reflecting the institution’s strong culture of discipline, service, and excellence.

A contingent of 15 cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of MVGR demonstrated exceptional discipline, unity, and commitment while representing the institution at this prestigious global naval gathering. Their performance exemplified leadership qualities and patriotic spirit, bringing pride and honor to the college.

The International Fleet Review and MILAN-26 celebrations, hosted by the Indian Navy, brought together naval forces and cadets from across India and several friendly foreign nations. The event provided a unique platform for cadets to witness naval operations, ceremonial parades, and international maritime cooperation, inspiring many to consider careers in the defense services.

Faculty members from MVGR attended the event and witnessed firsthand the dedication and discipline displayed by the cadets. Observing their students march alongside international contingents was a moment of immense pride and a testament to the leadership and character being nurtured within the campus.

The cadets were trained and guided by NCC coordinators Mr. N. Meher Vasu and Ms. L. Soumya, in collaboration with Col. Karthik U, Commanding Officer of the 2(A) CTR NCC Unit, Visakhapatnam. Their mentorship and rigorous training played a vital role in preparing the cadets for participation in such a prestigious international event.

The experience proved transformative for the cadets, who expressed deep admiration for the discipline, professionalism, and operational excellence of the Indian Navy.
